Welcome to the home of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. My practice is focussed on providing highly qualified professional support to people with a variety of problems/issues. My aim is to enable and empower individuals to resolve their problems bringing about long-term psychological well being and resilience by offering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy(CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). My practice is in Cambridgeshire, within easy reach of Bedford, Milton Keynes, St. Neots, and surroundings areas. However, I also work with referrals from further afield.

I am a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, I am accredited by the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is endorsed by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE). I provide a safe, supportive environment where you can express your feelings and thoughts in confidence; obtain skills that will help you to resolve your problems/difficulties; learn ways that will help you think and feel differently about your problems and receive the support you are looking for. Sometimes CBT is not suitable for everyone and for those of you who require help and support to understand and resolve mental health issues/difficulties I offer person-centred psychosocial therapy(Person centred psychosocial approach).

I offer individual therapy, however therapy can include a significant other/carer should you choose for them to be a part of your treatment. I usually work with individuals for an agreed period of time, however I can work with you on an open-ended basis depending on the nature of your problem and which intervention/approach is deemed more suitable and appropriate. Psychosocial therapy(Person centred psychosocial approach) can be the alternative intervention with the aim of enabling you to enhance your life and to live it more fully by improving behavioural health with motivational work, coaching and mentoring. I also work with occupational & employee assistance and can provide medico-legal reports.

Cognitive Behavioural
Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a scientifically supported learning theory based on the assumption that most behaviours and emotions are learnt, sometimes stemming from our childhood experiences. CBT is based on what we think (our thoughts) affects the way we feel about situations or events. CBT is supported by a wide body of research based evidence in being highly effective in treating a wide range of psychological problems.

 
 

Eye Movement Desensitisation &
Re-processing (EMDR)

EMDR therapy offers relief for PTSD and other types of psychological trauma for people of all ages. EMDR is made up of various elements taken from different treatment approaches and developed into a set of standardised protocols.
